Planning Forums - Fairlie residents invited to give opinion on report of main issues facing North Ayrshire

Do you want to have a say in how your area will look over the next twenty years? Now is your chance to get involved in shaping the planning policy that sets out how North Ayrshire is developed.

The Council is drafting up a new Local Development Plan (LDP), setting out which areas can be regenerated and which should be protected from development over the next two decades.

The new plan's vision is to encourage improvement in the area by creating more jobs, providing an attractive place in which to live and work, and boosting tourism.

As part of the process, members of the public are being encouraged to give their opinions on a report of the main issues facing North Ayrshire.

The Main Issues Report (MIR), which sets the scene for the new LDP, outlines five key areas of change and sets out options to respond to them. This includes new housing, the future of our town centres and dealing with our vacant/derelict industrial land.

The North Coast Planning Forum (West Kilbride, Largs, Fairlie and Cumbraes) will be held on:

Wednesday 17th February 2010
Brisbane Centre
30 Bath Street Largs
KA30 8BL
5.00pm to 7.00pm

Reserve a place or find out more by telephoning 01294 225125.
