Live Music At Village Hall
Currently touring the UK before heading to Australia and New Zealand later this year, acoustic duo Blackheart will be appearing at Fairlie Village Hall on Saturday, 7th August.
Widely regarded as among the fastest rising stars of the new folk generation, their live shows combine the unforgettable lemon and honey voice of Chrissy Mostyn and jaw-dropping acoustic guitar playing of Rick Pilkington with highly entertaining audience interaction as they tell the stories behind their songs. Their songwriting blends folk, country and even rock influences to create a unique style of beautifully crafted, instantly memorable songs that has been christened by the media ‘urban folk’. Their highly personal songs are inspired by real life, and their shows feature acoustic guitars, mandolin and a strong emphasis on harmony. Blackheart are played regularly on the radio, and were recently hailed by BBC Radio as “taking the acoustic scene by storm”.
Tickets costing £8 (BYOB) are available from Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or commassfairlie@aol.com.
