A question about Ferry Row Pottery: Can you help?

Margaret Corps says:

Hello,

I live just outside London and have come across an ornament which is a house in white and green.

It is approx. 6 inches x 6 inches. On the bottom is a label that says

Ann Brooks

Ferry Row Pottery

Fairlie Ayrshire

Scotland

I Googled this and came up with nothing. Did there use to be a Ferry Row Pottery in your town?

If so or if anyone knows Ann Brooks and would like to know more please get in touch.

The item was probably bought by my mother in law some years ago. She has since passed away that is why we have the ornament now. My in laws had friends in Kilwinning Ayrshire. Not sure if that is near Fairlie or not. Hope to hear from someone.

Regards Margaret Corps

Ann Brooks says

Hello Margaret. I made this piece of pottery and many more between 1975 & 1990. My studio was in out buildings to the rear of my house in Ferry Row, Fairlie - hence the name. The little cottage you have often included a tea light or sometimes a small electric fitting to be used for a child's night light. The "spooky" happening is that I have just begun potting again in the old building that was once a stable near the station in Fairlie, but I still live in Ferry Row.
Regards. Ann Brooks. ann@artdomain.co.uk
