COACHING

Craig McPhie will be providing coaching from 10am-2pm each Saturday from May 2, 2009 until the close of season (weather permitting).  There is a small charge of £3 on the day (or £20 for a block of 8 weeks) to cover the costs of equipment and for the pleasure of Craig's expertise.  Times are as follows:

10am - 11am  -  mini beginners
11am - 12pm - junior beginners
12pm - 1pm  - junior intermediates
1pm - 2pm  - adults - all levels

MEMBERS NIGHT

Each Wednesday evening from May 6, 2009 we welcome members to come along from 6pm to the courts for a social evening of tennis on a member's night (weather permitting).  We hope to organise informal matches of doubles or singles depening on the number of members attending.  If there is enough interest from members we would like to organise more structured matches and competition.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2009 Fairlie Club Tennis Championships will be held at the close of the season.  Entry can be made from July 1, 2009 until July 31, 2009 with the draw to be made shortly afterwards.  We hope to hold competitions for Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Junior Competitions.  Please look back closer to July for more information.

COURT INFORMATION

The courts can be found beside Castlepark Drive, or at the end of School Brae/Highfield Terrace.  We currently have two beautiful red shale tennis courts maintained by Malcolm McAulay and we hope to add a third artificial grass or hardcourt surface over the next few years if we can secure enough support and funding within the community.  A third all-weather court will help secure the future of the club and will allow Fairlie to join the Ayrshire/Scottish Tennis League for team competitions and matchplay.
